*IBOGAINE & MOOD DISORDERS According to the 2010 Global Burden of Disease Report published by the World Health Organization, depressive disorders comprise a leading cause of the world’s disease burden, and that by 2020 depression will become the second largest burden on global health and healthcare systems. Other psychiatric disorders such as anxiety, post-traumatic stress, social anxiety disorder, etc. affect a growing part of the world’s population. Ibogaine therapy has been used successfully to treat these disorders by allowing one to re-visit and examine the emotional trauma which caused the disorder in the first place. It does so in a way which allows you to become the observer of your own process, without becoming totally overwhelmed and distressed by your emotions. It allows you to integrate these past experiences in such a way that that the extreme emotional “charge” surrounding them simply dissipates and dissolves. This contrasts starkly with the use of pharmaceutical anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications which simply numb you out so that you never get to heal properly. It is import to note, however, that if you are currently using them, then you would have to first come off them before embarking on Ibogaine therapy – otherwise you could do yourself serious harm. It is advisable to slowly wean yourself off the medication, and then to be completely drug free for at least one month. Please feel free to contact us for more information. (*
